The Wiltshire Forum of Community Area Partnerships is an independent network of local community partnerships and development trusts, from Wiltshire and Swindon’s rural towns and larger parishes, who have engaged in community based social, economic and environmental regeneration activities. The forum was developed to:

  • To identify and facilitate the technical support needed for community area partnerships/market towns groups, including skills development, training and accessing funding.

  • To co-ordinate information and activities including dissemination of information, networking and research.

  • To seek funding, for the sustainability of the Forum and it’s projects.

  • To provide a collective voice at district, county, sub regional and regional level with the ability to influence policy.

Members of the forum have the opportunity to enjoy the practical benefits of sharing experiences, learning and best practice within a community of common interest and ensure a collective voice at local, regional and national government.

To support the member communities, the forum holds regular events, produces regular newsletters and hosts a website; all of which provide links to skills development, policy and best practice. The forum has financial support from The South West Regional Development Agency, the European Social Fund, Wiltshire County Council, the Market and Coastal Town Association and is hosted by the Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce, Trowbridge.
