A 'One stop shop' providing access to key local data and publications.
The Wiltshire and Swindon Intelligence Network has been developed in response to the ever growing demand for local data, be it for developing local strategies, funding applications, assisting local decision-making, or school and college work. The Network consists of a number of key organisations in Wiltshire and Swindon who are involved in the collection of local data. Until now, this data has been held by the separate organisations in different formats. It is often difficult to know what data exists or who can supply it. Our aim is to improve access to information in Wiltshire and Swindon by providing a 'one-stop shop' for key local data and to present it in a consistent format that is easy to understand and use. Where possible, we provide the option to select data at different geographical levels and in different formats, such as table, chart or map format.
The Library provides details of key reports published by the Network partners. Electronic links to the reports allow you to download them for instant access.
Also on this site, you will find profiles for each of Wiltshire's 20 community areas. These profiles include sections on history, local data and summary factsheets. The profiles sections has undergone a full audit, all links are fully up to date across the site.
This site is continuously improving. The GIS area is fully functioning now without the need for an initial java applet download. Current maps are predominantly Community Safety related, however, boundary maps and some environmental maps are also available. There is a new consultation area which contains ACKnowledge, Wiltshire E-Consultation Tool. Within this area we also have a facility to access all the current and past voice consultation results via a search facility. Corporate Research are currently adding on all the historical surveys, this should be complete Sept 06.
